For your convenience, your Debit Card is designed for quick, easy use. For purchases, it can be used just like a credit card - just swipe the card, press Credit and sign the receipt! Or, you may enter your PIN if you need cash back. It’s that easy! And remember, you may use all Bank of the West ATMs with no surcharge!

When should I activate my Debit Card?

Please sign and activate the new Debit Card immediately upon receipt. Note: You will be asked for a code to activate the new Debit Card. Activating the Debit Card requires the code for the primary member on the account for all cards issued on the account. i.e., If a second Debit Card is issued on the same account, the primary member’s code will be used to activate it.

May I choose my own PIN?

Yes, you may customize your PIN over the phone. Instructions are included with your PIN, which will be mailed a couple of days after your Debit Card.
